The day began with a needle of worry in my chest and the smell of pine sap on my hands. I set myself to mending what had been frayed: Gaerolas’s silence was no small thing, and Starbreeze cried for help. I walked the familiar trails of Teldrassil, gathering prayers and purpose as I went — moonwell water glimmered in my phial and a strange, glowing fruit found its way into my pack for Denalan's studies. By dusk I stood beneath the Oracle Tree and felt the forest breathe with me.
I answered more than errands. The corruption among the Gnarlpine had to be faced; their madness pressed like a bruise upon the land. I brought atonement where it was needed and delivered justice to those who’d defiled our kin’s slumber. The Relics of Wakening were reclaimed and used to free our hibernating brethren — the weight lifted from the barrow den felt like a wind at my back. Along the way I learned the crafts of Herbalism and Alchemy, fingers learning the names of roots and tinctures that may yet save a life.
There was even cause to celebrate: I felt the forest’s blessing deepen as I rose to level 12 — a bright, sudden elation that settled into my bones like new rings in a sapling. Now Darnassus calls and new tasks wait, but for tonight I listen to the leaves and let the moon mend my thoughts.
