Tales by Moonlight

Today the forest felt wider, as if Teldrassil itself had breathed and let me step further into its shade. I delivered Nyoma's herbs to Dolanaar and then carried Corithras's phial to the moonwell as Ilthalaine directed — the water gleamed like starlight and the well seemed quieter for a moment, as if listening. On that road south I accepted a dozen tasks that call to the curious: errands for Sister Aquinne, a strange dreamcatcher lost in Starbreeze, and a prickly invitation from Zenn that I could not refuse.

Zenn's Bidding turned out to be the sort of mischief I expected; I hunted the nightsabers and gathered the feathers and silk, feeling the thrill of the chase in my claws. When the last piece fell into place, the satyr's request was complete and I felt the satisfaction of doing right by the grove. My footsteps rang truer after that — and then, somehow, the trees applauded as I reached level 6. I let out a small, joyful breath and felt the change settle in my bones: level 6, a new cadence to my strides.

There are darker ripples yet: I accepted Seek Redemption!, The Emerald Dreamcatcher, and A Troubling Breeze. Starbreeze's troubles and Gaerolas's silence tug at me the most; I will go east when the moon is high and see what the sleeping druids stir. For now, the branches cradle me and the road to Darnassus waits with a promise of old friends and new lessons.
